PR The Internet population is not happy with political situation, most will go to the elections

According to the Internet survey on the netpanel of agency MEDIARESEARCH, three fourths of Internet population 18 + is interested in politics of the CR. Political climate in the CR is according to the respondents rather bad and over 90 % of them want to go to the elections this year. More than half of the respondents consider the television as the most important source of information related to the politics. 515 respondents older than 18 participated in the survey.

Since the end of last year, we offer netpanel respondents the possibility to resign their fees for participation in surveys for the benefit of a project of Foundation Charter 77 - PCs against barriers. To date, the respondents and the company MEDIARESEARCH sent 9 000 CZK. We wish to see sustained interest also in the future and wish to be able support this project together in next months.

PR Interest in shopping and watching TV grows among the activities on the Internet

Third wave of Structural Exclusive Continuous Research (SEKV) in 2009 provided further information about the structure and behavior of Internet users. Research showed significantly increasing popularity of social networking, continuing rising trend in online TV viewing and shopping on the Internet. Number of advanced users on the Internet also grows. MEDIARESEARCH provides SEKV for the Association for SPIR. Data collection was conducted between October and November 2009.

The December data ended up the year 2009 of the project of Internet audience measurement in the Czech Republic. Netmonitor, provided by MEDIARESEARCH agency, went through some important changes - new methodology was applied. In comparison with the year 2008 we can observe particularly marked increase in the number of real users, accompanied by decrease in the average time spent on the Internet.

PR People are interested in reading just online news, but onlny for free

The omnibus survey by MEDIARESEARCH agency shows that nearly half of the Czech Internet population can imagine just online existence of their favorite newspapers. Most users do not believe that the publishing houses would demand payments for online news in the near future. Any charges would be largely reflected in the change of users behaviour. 508 respondents older 15 years participated the online research.
